MUSIC AND LYRICS

One of my favorite things to do to relax is to watch a good movie. I often buy the films I wanted to see at the movies (but didn't have time to) on DVD so that I can have a "Movie Night" on my day off. I love to have movie nights as a "treat" for myself after a crazy work schedule. I take a warm shower, put on my PJs, hop into the bed and curl up under warm covers and watch a movie I had bought for myself earlier.

I've been doing 70 hour weeks lately at work, so I have been in a desperate need for relaxation lately. So when I went shopping a few days ago, I bought the movie "Music and Lyrics" so that I can have a "movie night" on my next day off. I have been dying to see that movie because a) I have only heard good things about it and b) I LOVE Hugh Grant and c) I love romatic comedies. Now, I don't know if I love romantic comedies because I love to torture myself (since I have no luck with guys and just end up getting my heart broken every time...) or because it feels "comforting" in a way to see a relationship work and see things turn out alright (since I am unable to find happy endings in real life when it comes to love...). I guess it's some sort of "escapism"...Escaping the real world and being able to believe in love and relationships for two hours. LOL!


So last night I watched the movie "Music and Lyrics". And I absolutely LOVED it!!!!! If you haven't seen it...you need to watch it!!! It is just an absolutely adorable, funny, well-written, well done movie!!!!! The script is BRILLIANT, the whole story is awesome and Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore are just FANTASTIC in their roles!! The movie is full of insanely funny lines and I was (literally) laughing out loud though out the movie. And the "relationship" side of it made me cry. It just had the perfect combination of comedy and romance. And as I mentioned....I am a HUGE fan of Hugh Grant. I absolutely adore his way of acting. He is just BRILLIANT! And he is very easy on the eye too...so he's a pleasure to look at. ;-) Anyways, if you haven't seen that movie...I highly recommend!! It is very entertaining!!! It's funny, romantic, the music in the movie is good....It's the best movie I have seen in a while!! If you haven't seen it...WATCH IT!! You won't be sorry! :) (I loved it so much that I watched it AGAIN right after I had finished watching it for the first time!)
