Doris Day

I've always been a huge fan of old movies. Even as a kid I loved watching old movies...Ivanhoe, Scaramouche, Cat on a hot tin roof, Singing In The Rain (loved all the old Gene Kelly movies...the ones with Frank Sinatra were awesome!!), etc. etc. And even still today I really enjoy watching old movies. It's not that I don't like new movies too...I do...but there is still something special about old movies and how they were made. I find the plots in a lot of old movies very "clever" and entertaining. The actors were stunning with so much style and "glamour" and the movies were romantic without being "vulgar".





I can remember seeing some of Doris Day's movies when I was younger and I had LOVED them, so that is why I recently bought a Doris Day DVD box set with three of her movies with Rock Hudson. The box set includes "Pillow Talk", "Lover Come Back" and "Send Me No Flowers". I just finished watching them and those three movies just went right to the top of my "favorite movies" list. I could watch them over and OVER again!!! Doris Day and Rock Hudson were such a beautiful couple on screen and such wonderful actors that it is a real pleasure to watch them!! I love their acting and I loved the plots and romance and I loved the clothes...I just loved everything!!! In fact, I loved all three movies so much that I now am trying to find ALL movies that Doris Day and Rock Hudson did during their careers!!
